This artical sums up how I feel on how the US goverment is using current events to expand its power over the people and how "Useful Idoits" are being used to run us down a path of Tyranny.

Useful Idoits (http://www.investors.com/NewsAndAnalysis/Article.aspx?id=537967)

People need to realize we are a Nation of Laws, not of men.

Wake up, please!!!!

weak if u ask me.

if i were to make an obama hater thread it would go like this.

What does the USA believe in?

1. Freedom of Trade: see Obama's actions in mexico to save his skin with the sw usa. my favorite is that truckers from mexico cannot drive in the usa since they are taking jobs away from americans. so trucks must stop, load new usa drivers who then drive to the destinations.

2. Free country. Immigration. All you have to do is lookup the immigration situation in Arizona to see we are setting down a new path this country has never have treaded in its history.

3. Contract law. I know I'm not going to get much sympathy on this one but a contract is a contract. If im due a bonus, im due a bonus. If it was me or my wife who lost a bonus, i would have sued to the supreme court.

4. its not only american values obama has trashed in a moments notice for convenience. remember when mccain got palin to nail obama on oil?

democrats were against oil almost as long as they were for abortion. all of a sudden 140 oil proves democrats had made the wrong decision for oh 50 years.

once obama saw that he had no wiggle room, he dropped a life long democrat decision on a drop of a hat. o ok, its okay to drill now. not to mention that his administration signed off on the nsm regulations of the bush ad regarding the bp oil spill. once palin's specialty was taken out, anything she had to say she had no authority on and it showed.

---------------------------------------------

In sum, there has been alot of exceptions to the rule and we have lost the moral high ground. All to placate a small loud group of complainers and lobbyists.

I think Obama is simply doing what Bush did before him. He realized that the political system causes gridlock and so he gets stuff done now hoping to be forgiven (or vindicated) later. He favors pragmatism over process.

The big difference is that Bush disagreed with congress. Whereas Obama disagrees with the constitution. To a democrat, congress is the will of the people and the constitution is a 250 year old piece of paper. To a republican, the constitution is sacred and congress is a bunch of power hungry people who couldn't hack it in the business world.
