Airport Anger: bb Ideals: wtb profiling

As you guys know, Jessi was away last week. Airports following the terrorist incident were ridiculous.

JFK was a 2 hour lead on the first flight out.
LAX was a 2 hr line as well and we cut every line by over half.

Real wait at LAX was closer to 3-4 hr.

People have started to explode as they were waiting 4 hr for a 1 hr flight.

Current security is untenable.

Technology either steps up or profiling is imminient.

I saw an Israeli official say this past weekend, that not all muslims are terrorists. But, all terrorists are muslim. And, according to him, Israel hasn't had a terror incident on an airplane in 3 decades.

Israel has started fingerprinting/ passport id for business class.

Body imaging scanners are still a sensitive issue for many.

Penny Arcade has a thread about the TSA. The general concencus is that they are

1) mostly useless
2) horribly inefficient
3) mostly for "Security Theator" - i.e. promoting a false sense of security.

It was also mentioned that the israels have a more secure system that is much much more efficient (i.e. less of an inconvenience to the flyer).

Radiation blasting Full Body Scanners will make you safe and won't give you cancer. So say the people trying to sell them. :D

BTW ... statistically, are "terrorists" more dangerous then the peanuts airlines give you yet?
