i've tried everquest and everquest 2, some other mmo's but didnt do good

Dunno what the kiddies really like these days, but if I play networked games it's usually Diablo 2 (already up there) or Unreal Tournament (whatever the latest version is...I think there's one coming out soon).

Dawn of War and it's expansions seemed to do pretty well, but maybe not with people below 16.

You should look at getting networked SNES emulation going so they can play the original Streetfighter games networked :p fighting games are the ultimate social gaming experience, imo.

Unreal would probly work pretty well.

As far are RTS, DoW is good, Company of heroes is awesome but takes skill so i'm not sure kids would like it that much. Command and Conquer 3 comes out in a month or two and that would work really well imo

there is that starwars game thats kinda like a first person shooter that game was fun but i cant remember the name.. Ohh yeah and there is a multi player dragon ball games also thats cool. Personally I like guitar hero :D but thats a console. Ohh yeah command and conquer generals is freakin addicting and fun, they also have the expansion called zero hour its a rts.

We've only got 2k4 on our school computers, but it is still okay. We've been playing instagib @ 125% speed...I keep pushing for 150%+ speed but the other guys don't like it that fast.

I just bought Warhammer - Mark of Chaos and Medieval II - Total War.

Warhammer - Mark of Chaos is an RTS, kind of like Dawn of War, but it cuts out the part where you make buildings and just focuses on battle. I'm loving it so far, it might be worth looking into it.

Medieval II - Total War is probably a bit too in depth for what I imagine your target audience would be (kids from 10 - 20?). It's an RTS too, and it's multiplayer component only consists of the battles. I love the battles buuuut...things like unit positioning, morale, terrain, weather, bla bla bla all matter so I'm not sure it'd be good for mid teens.

To sum it up...

Warhammer - Mark of Chaos ~ look into it!

Medieval II - Total War ~ addictive to me, not sure about normal people

Freelancer can be alot of fun if you use mods like "The Next Generation",
or try Emperor - Battle for Dune ...old strategy game, very nice though.
